I made these paintings and I
thought of you. Our first pandemic. Alive together. A woven, slow act between us and time and boundless. Intimacy. Geography. Science. And care. Today is an ordinary day. An extraordinary day. What is possible here? What do you see? A vista of shining silver linings running the ground and pushing into open parts of mourning. The red of horizon. A pink that requires something of you. These white yellow blue green gold spaces and shapes and oranges. Bright and generous. Pieces of fate. I am reading aloud to you. There is no alone. Not really. Hands, if you have them, will always need washing. The shape of your face, half-masked, is still beautiful. The new is here anyway. Any way. Anyway. The new is here anyway. Any way.
