Zora Duvall

Zora DuVall was born in Rovecin, Czechoslovakia. She received her B.A. in art at Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and her M.A. from the State University of Iowa. She is a former member of the art faculty at both educational institutions. For twenty three years she served as the curator of the Borg Warner Corporation art collection, having built it from the beginning up to a size of over 600 pieces.
She has participated in invitational and group shows at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; the Colorado Springs Art Center; the William Rockhill Nelson Gallery of the Atkins Museum in Kansas City; the Des Moines Art Center, Iowa; the Joslyn Museum, Omaha, Nebraska; SCADA (Springfield, Ill. Area Development Association); the Lakeview Art Museum, Peoria, IL, and others. Her work is in many educational, association, corporate and private collections and she has served as a juror for many exhibitions.
Her work consists primarily of oil paintings of softly rendered children, landscapes of fields and forests and commissioned portraits. She remains active as a painter and currently resides in Lake Forest, Illinois.
